The SASB gas field encompasses a total license area of 12,385ha, being one of the biggest natural gas production and development projects located in the Black Sea, offshore Turkey.

Scope of work comprises drilling of 5 wells from existing wellhead production platforms, using the GSP Uranus jack up rig.

GSP Uranus is a three-legged, self-evelating unit, cantilever type, Marathon Le Tourneau Class 116-C design drilling rig, maximum water depth up to 100 m and 7.600 m maximum drilling depth.

The project is scheduled to commence in the second half of  2019, and has an estimated duration of 8 years.

GSP Offshore has signed the contract for integrated drilling services with Lukoil Overseas Atash BV. The project will be developed in Trident field, in the Romanian Black Sea sector and marks a new milestone for GSP, as the company accesses the deep-water drilling market.

The Trident field concession rights are owned by the Romanian branch of the Dutch subsidiary of Lukoil (87.8%) and Romgaz, the Romanian state-owned producer (12.2%). The gas deposit in the Trident field is estimated to 30 billion cubic meters and could be the second largest in Romania’s exclusive economic area.

GSP acts as main contractor, being responsible for the entire management of the drilling campaign. The scope of work comprises drilling and well-related services, as well as logistics and aviation. The project involves the drilling of a new expiration well – Trinity-1X, for which Saipem`s Scarabeo 9 semisubmersible drilling rig will be mobilized. The Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit (MODU) is an ultra-deep-water drilling unit, designed to operate in water depth up to 12,000 ft, and with a drilling depth capacity up to 50,000 ft below the rotary table, and has been chosen due to its ability to lower its tower in order to allow the crossing of the Bosphorus Strait.

The drilling activities under the project are expected to commence in 4Q 2019.

The project is part of an OMV Petrom investment aiming at increasing the production from the Lebada-East field by drilling two new wells at more than 2,000 m subsurface.

In November 2018, GSP Offshore SRL has been awarded the EPCIC contract for the MGD Project. The scope of work includes construction, installation and commissioning of the entire project infrastructure, both onshore and offshore. GSP will also perform the execution of five production wells for which GSP Uranus jack-up rig will be deployed. Project completion is estimated in  Q1 2021.

The MGD Project, which is the 1st new offshore gas development project in the Romanian Black Sea to be built after 1989, consists of 5 offshore production wells, a subsea gas production system over the Doina well, which will be connected through an 18 km pipeline with a new unmanned production platform located over Ana field. A 126 km gas pipeline will link the Ana platform to the shore and to a new onshore gas treatment plant (“GTP”) in Corbu commune, Constanta county, with a capacity of 1 BCM per year representing 10% of Romania’s consumption.

GSP Offshore will perform the offshore activities conducted within the North Marmara Natural Gas Storage Extension Project (Phase III) under a contract with Rönesans. The joint venture between Rönesans Endüstri Tesisleri İnşaatSanayi Ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi and Renaissance Heavy Industries Joint Venture, both member companies of the Rönesans Holding, has been awarded by Boru Hatlari İle Petrol Taşima A.Ş (BOTAŞ) the tender for the third phase of the Construction Work for the North Marmara Natural Gas Storage Extension Project.

The works under this project are scheduled to commence in January 2019. Currently, GSP Saturn jack-up rig is currently being transported from Constanta port to Tekirdag Port, passing through the Bosphorus strait.

As main subcontractor of the offshore operations, GSP will supervise all the activities related to the construction of two fixed offshore platforms. GSP`s Bigfoot 1 Pipelay barge and Neptun heavy lift crane and will perform installation of the platforms, installation of two 28” pipelines of 2.1 and 3.3 km, cable installation. GSP will also carry out the drilling of 20 wells at the two pre-installed offshore platforms, using GSP Saturn an GSP Jupiter jack-up rigs, GSP Well Servicer multi-role vessel as well as platform supply vessels. The project will be carried out in Silivri, Istanbul, over a period of three years.

The Template was brought to the field using “GSP Queen” and equipped with the survey system. On the July 24th, the template was engaged with the Running Tool and drill string HW 5 “, picked up  from the vessel and launched into the sea.

These operations mark the commencement of works under the EPCI and drilling contract from Energean Oil and Gas, Greece, for the development of the Epsilon field.

In order to increase production from the Prinos concession area, Energean Oil & Gas has initiated the Epsilon field development project, which comprises an unmanned wellhead platform and three inter-connecting pipelines to the existing Prinos Delta Platform. The scope of work includes the drilling of 3 wells at Lamda Platform location (Aegean Sea), using GSP Jupiter jack-up rig, as well as the Project Management, Construction, Transportation & Installation Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, Pre-commissioning, Assistance in the Commissioning and Start-up of the Lamda platform and inter-connecting pipelines.

The Lamda platform will be sited approximately 4 kilometres west of the existing Prinos Delta complex. Lamda is designed to function as a NNM, remotely operable under all weather conditions. The installation is designed with the minimal facilities required to safely control production and to enable drilling and well interventions.

Energean has recently signed with BP the extension of the long-term off-take agreement for the Prinos field to November 2025. Earlier in February, Energean announced the signing of a reserves-based senior facility agreement, amounting to US$180 million, with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (“EBRD”), the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank, EximBank Romania and Intesa Sanpaolo Bank.
