GSP commences drilling operations in SASB gas field, offshore Turkey

Upon successfully arriving at the Akçakoca platform, Uranus rig has commenced drilling operations for Trillion Energy for the development of the SASB gas field.
A total of three directional wells will be drilled from the Akçakoca platform, plus one recompletion of an existing well. After the work at the Akçakoca platform, the rig will move to the next of the three platforms to continue the work program.
In May 2022, GSP has signed an offshore drilling services agreement with Trillion Energy’s 100% subsidiary, Park Place Energy Turkey, for the 2022 – 2023 drilling program on the South Akcakoca Sub-Basin (SASB) gas field. The gas field encompasses a total license area of 12,385ha, being one of the biggest natural gas production and development projects located in the Black Sea, offshore Turkey.
